Important: Regarding the Window Into the Middle East: An Evening With Ambassadors Event to be held tomorrow

Dear olives and supporters!

Unfortunately, due to an urgent diplomatic matter, the Chief Representative of the PLO Maen Areikat has asked that the Olive Tree Initiative at Cal postpone tomorrow's event until further notice. The event will not be happening tomorrow, but will instead be happening at a later date in March.

We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to keep an eye out for more information on the event. If you have already RSVP'd, you needn't worry. Your reservations will be held for the event, unless you notify us otherwise.

Best,
The Olive Tree Initiative at Cal

Tonight's Meeting: On Jordan

Hello, everyone! We here at the Olive Tree Initiative at Cal hope your week was as good as ours. But if it wasn't, I can think of a couple ways to make it a bit better. Namely, come to tonight's meeting!

In preparation for the much-anticipated first event in the Window Into Middle East Diplomacy: Evening With Ambassadors series, during which we will host the Jordanian Deputy Ambassador Fawaz Bilbeisi and the Palestinian Liberation Organization's Chief Representative Maen Areikat, our Education Director, Leilani, will be leading a session on Jordanian involvement in regards to borders, security, and refugees. If you are interested in this fascinating aspect of the conflict, I encourage you to come learn, discuss, and participate at this week's meeting. We would love to have you!

Additionally, applications for our trip to the Middle East will be released soon, so there really is no better time to get involved in the Olive Tree Initiative. If you have any questions regarding the trip, OTI, or the application process, please come to the meeting and we would be more than happy to address them.

Best wishes,
Nisa Dang
Director of Public Relations and Media Outreach

Hello everyone! We here at OTI hope that the week has been wonderful for you so far.

At tonight's meeting, which will be held in 209 Dwinelle, not 182 Dwinelle, we will be discussing the current Israeli-Palestinian negotiations being led by Secretary of State John Kerry. Come learn, discuss, and mingle. We'd love to see you all there!

And as always, new members are welcomed with open arms.

Best,
Nisa Dang
